Democrat Convention on "Ideals" =????

I have repeated many times that politics is the public debate over the future of our civilization, and how it has become a debate between conservative values and liberal ideologies. I have repeated many times that most Christians do not know the difference between a value and an ideology, and that is why there is a Christian Right, and a Christian Left.

As one watches the Democrat Convention in 2008, you will frequently hear the term “American Ideal” applied this debate over the future of our civilization. IDEAL is the liberal word of choice, not value, as was used by both Caroline and Teddy Kennedy. What world view under lays that choice? Freedom and the embedded values of our constitution seem imperfect.
The successes of 3600 sovereign counties and 50 sovereign States are realities, not images.   I am aware of American Values, with embedded Christian beliefs-trusts-values, of liberty, private property, equal opportunity, work, self determination, religious freedom, and innocent until proven guilty, and trial by law.  I know values!  I see values!  I debate values! So just what is this future IDEAL that betters the imperfect American History?

An IDEAL, synonymous with MODEL, is an IMAGE of excellence to be imitated.   So just what is this perfect MODEL that liberals look to achieve at the expense of past values? What future political actions are really being proposed to make America faultless? The answer must really begin with understanding what an IDEAL really is all about.

An IDEAL, synonymous with MODEL, is an IMAGE of excellence to be imitated. An IDEA exists as a mental image or a fancy in the imagination. It lacks practicality. An idea relates to mental images or impressions, and attempts to conform to faultlessness. IDEALISM is a premise that ultimate reality lies in a realm going beyond experience. The theory that the essential nature of reality lies in consciousness, that only the perceptible is real. REALISM is the faithful copying of nature. Idealism affirms the preeminent value of imagination.

Be assured, any time you hear the word IDEA or IDEAL expressed in the public debate, and hear about whom is not as intelligent as “WE” , just know you are listening to an impractical free-thinker, to a liberal thinker, to a theoretical, to an academic. You are listening to someone living in the world view of their own head.
